Essay On Rap Music
I listen to music every day of my life. From the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep. My current mood determines what type of music I listen to. For example, in the morning, I like to start my day off with something slow and calm. This usually jazz music with its soft and mellow tones. Then later in the day, I prefer to listen to rap music. It really helps me get excited. This helps me when I am in the gym, especially the sound of the loud bass and tones. I tend to calm down after a long day of activities. I sooth my mood with slow, mellow, and calm music. This really helps my body and mind relax after a long day of work. In conclusion, Jazz, Rap, and R&B are very powerful different types of music, each having its own different style and background.
One of the most influential, and probably the most popular types of music is Rap. Rap music has its own stereotype of what it stands for. Many people think rap music is always about shooting cops, drugs, money and sex. Rappers use quick speaking rhyming sounds to aim for the urban ghetto and speaks of poverty, drugs, money, and fame. Many trends are also associated with rap music. For example, wearing baggy pants, gold chains, and violent …show more content…
R&B is composed of different types of rhythms. Such as gospel, jazz, country, soul, rock & roll, and hip hop. R&B has been a way for African-Americans to express their pain, and the quest for freedom and joy. Many legendary artists have come from R&B, such as Michael Jackson. Michael is known to be one of the greatest performers of all time. The 1980s brought a newer style of R&B known as Contemory R&B. It combines elements of rhythm and blues, soul, funk, pop, hip-hop and dance. Because of these many combinations, you will see a broad base of instruments.
