Railroad Crossing Persuasive Speech
Railroad crossing can be very dangerous and can kill people even if you are not in a car. For example in the game “Dumb Ways to Die” is says in the video before you play the game is to be very careful around trains and do not cross the tracks at any time of the day. It also says be patient when you stop at a railroad crossing. Do not go around those things are down for a reason. The train is coming if those railroad crossing signs are down and the lights are flashing red it is telling you to stop so you should probably stop. Some tips for crossing railroad crossings. The first tip is always expect a train at any time of the day or night they do not have specific times that they can come over and hit you so look both ways before you cross and …show more content…
It is a trespassing violation. That can be bad for business. The third tip is that a locomotive can weigh 200 tons. That is something I would not like to be hit with cause no one can survive that no matter how much your car weighs it will still kill you or barely escape alive. So pay attention to the rail road crossings. A fourth tip is that trains have the right- of-way 100% of the time so you should stop for them 100% of the time not 80% of the time, not 99% of the time, you should stop 100% of the time. Those things are not going to stop for you to try to get to work on time, no, you should wake up earlier than you should. The fifth tip is that is the track does not look like it is being used still be careful trains can go through that pretty easy. The sixth tip that trains are really quiet they are not like giant trains back in the day, no, they are really quiet and are going really fast so just stop when you see one coming because it is going really fast. The last tip is just stay alert to the tracks and make sure they are clear too go and if it is safe to go and not get hit by a 200 ton freight train that does not seem like a fun time in my opinion.

These are called Light Rail cars. In the Light Rail Car section in the Unit 5 Rail Road Crossing it states," Light Rail cars accelerate very quickly. A light rail car can accelerate to 55 miles per hour in just 19 seconds. Most light rail trains will operate at 55 miles per hour within the railroad corridor. Trains will operate at 25 miles per hour on the streets in Salt Lake City." Understand the light rail car, we should be extra aware of the signs and warning of rail road crossings. We should also not under estimate the speed of all trains. Good judgement as well is very important when crossing rail roads. Good judgment mixed with the safety and warning signs will keep you safe and out of harms way. You should never go around gates and ignore those safety set up for our protection. You put you and your passengers in harms way. If you do get in an accident with a train it is highly unlikely that will live through it and if you do you would be faced with life changing injuries. The Eagle represents Signal Hill and means so much to our school community. We would like to replace the old carved wood Eagle that is displayed in the front of our school, which is rotting, with a new one. It would be presented as a gift to the Signal Hill Elementary School on behalf of the 2016 Signal Hill Graduating Class. We are asking for a donation of five dollars from the fifth grade students or whatever you feel appropriate.…

Good signing assists our customers in negotiating the Underground system and minimises the need to consult station staff. This is the ideal for maximising operational efficiency, for creating the best impression and for gaining customer satisfaction. The journey from station entrance to the platform, from train to train, or to the station exit is often extremely complicated. In the enclosed, confined and busy environment of the Underground, lack of clear directions can cause considerable anxiety.
