Motorcycle engine guards protect your motorcycle engine and radiator. Radiators are the "heat exchanger," they use a liquid-based coolant in the fluid to air cooling process. Without a properly working radiator, your motorcycle's engine will "cook" itself and will be broken in time. A faulty motorcycle radiator can be detected by a visible leaking fluid, dropping coolant level or a rising temperature gauge. To prevent radiator damage, a motorcycle engine guard is recommended, specifically a radiator guard. A well designed radiator guard should be enough to cover the whole radiator, it should also be designed to have high air flow offering protection without sacrificing airflow through the radiator.
