Racism: Video Analysis
Two Sides

Racism is horrible. Racism has been going on before the 1960’s. As Reverend Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. showed us his life’s work to end racism, we can act to bring people of all races together as we peacefully demonstrate a love for humanity. Three actions we can take to end the violence of racism is by educating people about racism and showing people that things can be equal if we weren't so mean to each other. A second thing to take action is talking to family and friends around your community. Going to places that struggle with racism. Going to churches talking to the priest and talking about how we can spread the word of equal rights like in the bible. My last action we can take to stop racism is by starting with yourself first. Talk to yourself do things you can get over that you hate then you can help others and spread the word of racism. By Educating people we can

I could go around put up flyers for for groups different types of groups who wanna talk about this and stop racism. By helping my family and friends I could protest with them to stop racism. Telling workplaces and stores that it’s ok if African Americans could walk in here help them with issues with racism that the board has trouble with. In the video “Ted Talks” there is a lady who talks about her story of African Americans. “Chimamanda” is a story teller”. Just like “Chimamanda” I could help me family and friends and the community around me. “Chimamanda” is a African American who lives in Nigeria.” “Chimamanda” starting writing stories at the age of 7 of what she read. Things have charged for her after “Chimamanda” discovered African American books. Just like “Chimamanda” I could build more liberties and for kids to here stories. “Stories can break the dignity of a person, but stories can also repair that broken dignity.”

At the time, African American men and women had no rights anywhere and fit in nowhere but with themselves. This was also why William's father refers to it as “an act of real hatred and prejudice.” Which was true because many people treated African Americans horribly. Like in the video” The Last Word- John F. Kennedy's ‘Finest Moments’ the racist governor of Alabama stood in front of the entrance of the University of Alabama, refusing to let the first 2 african American students register. The blacks are being mistreated how? First by parking in the back of the field second, if the blacks go to a store they have to wait until all of the whites are done with their order then they can order. Third, the blacks are being mistreated is when they accidentally bump into a white they have to immediately apologize to them. There is so much racism still going on in america not only against blacks but against backgrounds examples blacks are still treated like crap and when people see blacks they think of people that will steal from a store and seen as the bad people. How can we stop racism we can't but what we can do is prevent racism we should stand up against racism and for other people's rights racsim is still…

In an article written by, Texas A&M University Sociology Professor Eduardo Bonilla-Silva called, The Linguistics of Color Blind Racism: How to Talk Nasty about Blacks without Sounding Racist, Bonilla-Silva carefully explains and analyzes the different tactics employed by whites to make comments with racist undertones without outwardly sounding racist that aid in maintaining the racial ideology known as color blind racism. I have always wanted to stop racism. I hate race in general. I find race to be nothing but a human made thing. I believe that everyone is a human and that we should not be dehumanized because of what race society categorizes us to be. Almost everyday on the news, you hear of some case where a person has been bullied or mistreated so bad that they commit suicide. Most of the time they are bullied simply because they are unique. Racism is an act where a person or group of people are discriminated against because of a particular characteristic, or set of characteristics, they have whether its from race, skin color, or religion. Some ways to eliminate racism are to stand up for your beliefs while respecting the beliefs of others, not taking part in hurtful acts, and also if you see a form of racism not…

    Color Line Racism

It has been going on for years and years that the hope for it to completely disappear is unrealistic. Racism is a way of feeling and we can’t control everyone’s feelings towards one another. Which just leads to me saying that the racial lines have history on them that will take great measures to disappear. Even if it doesn’t go away we should be comfortable with speaking on the topic of race among each other. Whether we disagree or agree on a matter it’s something we should speak on to get a good understanding on each other and try to lose the hatred. Not every single black or white men is racist but a part of them is prejudice due to past knowledge. Which then goes to show that American history on race does play a role on our social experiences. We may not try to seem racist but everyone hangs around who they feel comfortable with and people are comfortable with people who reflect them. It’s an unnatural injustice that right away people drift towards people who are the same race as them. Which then gives our social history a different story line but using different perspectives from African American and…

Our world has completely changed in many ways since the African Americans were treated like slaves. The importance to fighting hate activities is to act, join forces, speak up and educate yourselves. These are all important steps to take to stop hate crimes. Acting and speaking up is the biggest step to take. People should be able to act upon the bad actions and if there is any crime done they should be able to speak up without feeling pressured. The society should definitely try to limit the hate crimes and prevent them as much as they can.If African American commit a crime such as rape and then Whites do they should be given the same punishment. If we do not act upon all the victims who are rapped or assualt, some of them cannot deal with that and end of committing suicide. I also believe that anyone who commits a crime such as rape of assault should be criminalized because that is consider abuse. Which most people who are abused have to suffering with dealing that feeling or the rest of their lives. The offenders should not be sentenced to life death, depending of what crime they…

Their is racism still in this world that everyday individual's face, but mainly blacks face this in their lives. Racism is something we need to end but we still see it every day in the news and articles like the one I've read. The article that had caught my eyes was written by James Queally and published by LA Times, " Counter- protestors charged with attacking KKK members during bloody Anaheim rally", the article was about how the KKK was doing a "peaceful" rally and it ended up getting out of control because of the disagreement the Counter protestors had. The KKK members were rallying against racism, police brutality, and other issues of concern that they believed needed to be heard, which had started out peaceful but ended up in bloody brawl. During the brawl three of the demonstrators were stabbed and 13…
