Racism Related To Me Research Paper
Racism is important to me because it’s something that has always bothered me because of what my ancestors had to go through. I really see racism as still being a problem and it needs to stop. Not all racism is ever going to stop, but as long as we can put an effort to stop most of it I will be satisfied. And not only racism towards African Americans, but also towards all races. I have also had to deal with racism on multiple occasions through sports. An example would be during football season we played a team called Weld Central and their parents showed up to the game with confederate flags on the back of their jackets and on their hats. We all knew that they purposely did that because they knew we were a mostly African american team. When …show more content…
There are many things that need to be done to help lessen racism. First off, what needs to be done is people need to look at themselves and When they find themselves making an assumption about people, places, or things, challenge themselves by asking whether they know the assumption to be true, or if it is something you have simply been taught to believe by a racist society. Another thing that needs to happen is people need to Cross the racial divide by offering friendly greetings to people, regardless of race, gender, age, sexuality, ability, class, or housing status. Think about who they make eye contact with, nod to, or say “Hello” to while they are out in the world. If they notice a pattern of preference and exclusion, shake it up. Respectful, friendly, everyday communication is the essence of community. The biggest thing to me that needs to be done is . In today's federal government, people of color remain disturbingly underrepresented. For a racially just democracy to exist, we must achieve accurate representation, and the government of representatives must actually represent the experiences and concerns of our diverse …show more content…
I chose to use twitter because many people use it and most of the users are teens or young adults. This is important because if I am able to aware teens and young adults then that eliminates bullying in schools. There are many thing that i feel like I could have done a lot better to become a better social activist. Like I could have tried to get a lot more followers and i also could have tweeted more. If I were to do this again, I would probably use instagram instead because I feel like it is a lot easier to gain followers on Instagram than it is on

Everyday people experience racism in the world. Like the quote by poet and author Maya Angelou once said, “If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude. ” People need to change their way of thinking about others. People need to start understanding others feelings.…

Personally, I don’t think there is an answer. Racism is one of the many things that America was built on and it’s all we know. From the beginning, we have separated ourselves by race; It’s like second nature. It’s virtually impossible to change the way an entire society thinks when they as well as their ancestors were raised that way. I know that we have come a long way but racism will always be a part of society. Some people never change, and it’s not their fault because they were raised that way. I don’t find it sad that there is no answer to racism because it’s just one of the things that we all have to deal with in life. Life will never be perfect and we all have to deal with problems such as racism. We have to deal with criminals, war, and recessions, so dealing with racism is no…

Some solutions have been peace walks and rallies, where they are civil and deal with a movement. And again, none that actually got rid of racism. You cannot change the way people feel toward other races, it’s only up to that person themselves to look deep down and decide whether or not a color of one’s skin gives them a profile. What if we had a solution where we didn’t have to make people change their mind or how they felt toward other races, but yet we make it to where everyone is the same color.…

The first solution that I have is to make sure its known by everybody if I can, I would start a huge rally at my school and just make it known around the city and hopefully have the news media show up and have it broadcasted. Having racism put out so everywhere knows about it could help because maybe once people see how bad racism really and how badly it can affect people they might start doing more to help put an end to it. Another solution I have is to email or write letters to the City Council or even to the Prime Minister and try to see if he can…

When asked if racism still exists in the world a common answer is,“No, how could we be racist when we have a black president!”, but even an extremely well educated man such as Barack Obama the President of the United States sees every form of racism on a day to day basis. Racism today is not a concept that just low class uneducated African American 's struggle with, this is a concept that everyone in the world struggles with. Racism will never be truly abolished from the world because it is a part of humanity that is instilled in us at a very young age, racism towards the “different” and the “other”. Society put a certain stereotype of each race into our minds and even if we don 't act on these thoughts.…

Environmental racism is probably one of the worse things that can happen in any community. Why does any community have to deal with such tragedy? Racism must stop, African American people can’t do much because of how the white people put us in an unforgiving position. We as black people can’t do anything because we are low-class and have no say so in anything about our community. Our voices can’t be heard because nobody would care because of the position we have been put in. We as a community is struggling and something has to happen. The rich people, which is basically the white people, are in much control as the poor people, which is the black people have no say so and can’t live the life they want.…

Racism is the hardest one to discuss but I am doing my best to help student to discuss. Also I want to mention something , I want to change their idea about how they can discuss this kind of topic. For example, if you are a white american and you are not racist so I do not have to discuss or talk about any thing that some white people has done in their history. Even though he or she are not racist , he or she belongs to this part. By knowing how to interact with people and learning the history and discussing that in a good why without avoiding talking about it that is a tool that I want to see them using it after they pass this course.…

One place that can play an important part in reducing conflict is school. Racism, along with many other racial issues should be taught in school because the kids can get a better understanding of reality. Teaching the kids about the racial issues will get them thinking about how they can make an impact on the society. It will also let them learn about different cultures and how they were treated in the past. The students will learn how to tolerate and respect people who are different from themselves.
