Racial Prejudice Research Paper

Personally, I think that having racist prejudice means having an unfavorable, racist, and discriminatory attitude against someone or group of people. This prejudice could be due to the color of the skin, race, or culture. Regardless of what culture we are, we perceive racial prejudices towards our personal and can be seen in violence, in children, in unemployment, in people who were imprisoned and who are now judged by their appearance. At the same time, these damages are found in many places of our society such as; in the media, in schools, in our workplace, in our neighborhood, even in our own friendships. I have a recent anecdote, with a group of friends from my husband. My husband's friend shared his joy of having bought a building in a Southside area (South of Franklin Boulevard).
Of course, I got easily upset by that comment, and I react by getting up from the chair, looking into that person's eyes and said: "That's why the people do not want us in this country, or anywhere else. Unfortunately, that comment makes our soul poor, and is sad that we -called Hispanics or Latinos have those prejudiced comments towards another culture ". Everyone at the table was silent, looking at each other. One of my husband's friends said: "you don't what you are talking about because you're a woman and you work with Afro-American people so obviously you will defend their race". I replied: "I respect, and all of you don't know the huge meaning of that word". According to the video #3; I totally support the lady's statement about how people treat us with a prejudice manner because we don't belong to this country or because our skin color is not white or because we don't speak English like everyone in this country.
