Racial Discrimination: The Australian Human Rights Commission
People that have encountered racial discrimination are able to write a complaint to The Australian Human Rights Commission if they have tried to sort out the issue themselves but it did not work. If they feel uncomfortable in doing so, they can get a solicitor, advocate or trade union to write a complaint on their behalf. It is free to write a complaint to the commission and it must be written out. The commission has forms that people can fill out and post or they can simply just lodge a complaint online. If someone is unable to write a complaint out the commission can offer help and can also provide a translator if the person does not speak English well. The complaint should clearly explain the incident, when the incident happened and where
