1. ……said Hazel, “I'd have chimes on Sunday-just chimes. Kind of in honor of religion”
I don’t know what does this line mean, but why would she only have chimes on Sunday? This quote is a T-W quote. This quote means that what Hazel will do when she was the handicap general in Harrison Bergeron.
2. George Bergeron correctly identified the earthquake, and well he might have - for many was the time his own home had danced to the same crashing tune.
How can George Bergeron correctly identified the earthquake? Because he is the handicap general in Harrison Bergeron? This quote is a T-S quote. George Bergeron can correctly identify the earthquake, because his house had danced to the same crashing tune.
3. "My God-" said George, "that must be Harrison!"
Why wouldn’t George notice that is Harrison at the first time he looks at the television? This quote is a T-T quote. George might think that his son Harrison is living in the prison very well and waiting for the time to come and go home, he wouldn’t think that Harrison would escape from the prison, and he might have gotten scared.
4. "I am the Emperor!" cried Harrison. "Do you hear? I am the Emperor! Everybody must do what I say at once!" He stamped his foot and the studio shook.
【He is Harrison Bergeron】
Why would he say that he is an emperor? And why would he cry when he said that? This quote is a T-S quote. When he said that he is an emperor, no one is listing, so he cried and he said “ Do you hear?” to the people who weren’t listing to him, and the people might think that he is crazy or something like that, that is why they don’t listen to him.
5. "Gee - I could tell that one was a doozy," said Hazel.

When Tiberius succeeded Augustus, he was modest in his way of looking over the empire. He “played a most unassuming part, almost humbler than that of a private citizen” (Suetonius, Tiberius, 26). He showed utmost modesty by not allowing himself to be worshipped alongside Gods and not allowing any statues of him be placed next to any of the Gods. He believed himself to be a public servant and did not take to flattery. One such instance of his humility is evident when he is once referred to as Lord and he asked not to be addressed to in such a fashion. When someone spoke of his “sacred” duties he insisted they refer to them as laborious and not sacred. Finally, when someone mentioned they have appeared before the senate “by the emperor’s authority” he interjected pleading the speaker to use the term “persuasion” instead of “authority” (Suetonius, Tiberius, 27). It is evident that…

In politics, there was a formalized political structure which gave many responsibilities and powers to the emperor, few of which was seen in the movie such as the control over the country's army and navy. Besides, for 2,000 years, no commoners were able to see the emperor, and it was through this time that foreigners or ambassadors were allowed to have a glimpse of him.…

The poem “Not Marble Nor The Gilded Monument” relates to The Fault In Our Stars because in Peter Van Houten’s letter in response to Augustus he wrote that everyone in their life has a harmartia, and how “Not Marble Nor Guilded Monuments” reminds him of Hazel Grace and how since language buries, but does not resurrect. Peter Van Houten believes that when she dies he must remember how she was but enjoy her company now and not speak badly about her when she dies. Hazel wishes she mustn’t harm anyone around her when she dies but the poem and Peter Van Houten both disagree saying when somebody dies you must praise and remember them.…

Both speakers mention the sounds of church bells to highlight how detached they are from the customary forms of worship. The speaker in “Sunday Mornings” describes how the sounds of nature “is music” (line 12) which helps “drown the chimes of distant chapel bells” (line 13). In “Some keep the Sabbath” the speaker declares “instead of tolling the Bell for Church,/ Our little Sexton- sings” (lines 7-8). Furthermore, the speaker also replaces conventional religious music for the sounds of nature; she uses “a Boblink for a Chorister”…

One of the things that shocked me the most during this movie is when Johnston first met the emperor not only did he only bow but they took a take two of the entrance and they shook hands. Throughout the movie everyone in the movie either bows or looks away from the emperor. It doesn’t seem to be acceptable to have any contact with the emperor but Johnston’s contact with the emperor in some ways shows that he has an upper hand even over the emperor. When Johnston first appears he seems superior to everyone else when he gets out of the car with his tall hat and straight posture. He is told “Remember you are one of the first foreigners with an official post in the Forbidden City since Marco Polo” he responds “It makes me very nervous”. The tone when Johnson says it makes me very nervous seems very nonchalant and he was not worried about entering a foreign place.…
