Put A Dollar Value On Life Analysis

Life is a beautiful thing, but everyone gives life a certain value for each person they meet. Some people are too important to put value on, depending on the perspective of the appraiser, others can be priced quite easily by someone else and be difficult to by another. Based on the readings given to work with contradicting one another, someone cannot wholeheartedly agree with all of the passages. People put dollar value on life and in some places it is deemed as bad to do so but it is the only way we can value things. The idea of paying more or less for sickly people or ones who had suffered is alright because it is a way to judge the weight of the situation and the money needed to repay that. People’s lives should be valued and compensated
Value in our world is measured in money so to pay with death we use money. Amanda Ripley says that“The courts started to put a dollar value on a life.” Courts have already started to put a value on the life of people. It is not unjust but we send too much as it is on the death of someone. Payment should be given based on the person who died. Ebert said “I know it is coming, and i do not it, because I believe there is nothing on the other side of death to fear.” Ebert has knowledge on this because he is close to death in his age and with his jaw, which had cancer.Which means that, when someone is sick then are not worth as much to the government. Some people with higher income jobs though would be worth more money in the government’s eyes. The payment given is based on the quality of life and if there was suffering involved. Compensation for the death of loved ones is the only thing the government can do. Money is the only payment that can be used by the government to give for the death of the loved ones whom have passed. I agree that payment should be used to give back to the people who have suffered through a death. All should get paid based on the worth of the dead. They should be paid based on the health, age, occupation, the circumstances of death, etc. Dead has a payment and it is for the government to decide how it is
