When people think of the term homeless they think of a person who lives in the streets who is dirty and wearing worn out cloth. There are many other aspects to the definition of homelessness such as: having a lack of stability, not feeling wanted, and lack of emotional security. There are many explanations of what the term really means but many people want to see it as someone who lives in the streets.
Having the lack of stability is when people do not know where they will be sleeping, eating, or where to find shelter. For example a movie called Pursuit of Happyness was about a man named Chris, who suddenly became homeless along with his son. At some point in the film Chris would struggle of where he was going to sleep and sometimes he would go to the restroom
The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.” The feeling of not being wanted can make someone feel homeless because even though they have a home to stay at, they don’t have people who don’t care about them.
