Guns throughout history resulted in violence from war, to public shootings, to fear itself when one is pointed directly at you. Police officers carry them to protect themselves and others, some hunt, some do the unspeakable and kill/rob.
In early 2015 Texas Legislature passed a law that allows people with CHL (concealed handgun license) to bring guns into the class room. Many states like Colorado, Idaho, and Kansas just to name a few already have implemented the campus carry law. In my essay I will interview three people, one a police officer for the Plano Police Department, another a Collin College police officer, and the last person would be at random that attended Collin College. Most students reported that not only would they not feel safer on campus; they were concerned about the potential for an increased risk of suicides and homicides.
