Social work practitioners employ different types of strategies when working with treatment groups. These strategies are designed to meet the individual needs of each member as well as the needs of the group. The purpose of this particular group was to provide psycho-education, support and treatment to its members. The goal of this treatment group was to rehabilitate members and restore them to their formal level of functioning (Toseland and Rivas, 2011).
