There has been a variety of skin diseases discovered in the United States and some not yet found, the amount of children and adults who live with these skin conditions are 3 million cases per year all over the U.S. Psoriasis is a condition where the cells build up and form a itchy and dry patch. It is known that psoriasis has no reason why it is caused but some experts say that it has to do with the immune system inflammating that causes new skin cells to form quickly than the normal which is 10 to 30 days but with psoriasis new cells grow every 3 to 4 days. The new cells growing on top of the old ones form what are called “silver scales”. Sadly, this skin condition is known to be not curable but there are treatments offered to help
Guttate i s a form of psoriasis that appears as small, dot-like lesions. Inverse shows up as very red lesions in body folds, such as behind the knee, under the arm or in the groin. It may appear smooth and shiny. Pustular is an infection found on your feet and hands made by white cells. Erythrodermic widespread, fiery redness over most of the body. Psoriasis is found on the scalp, face, hands, feet, nails, and genitals. Psoriasis is found in many children but it is mostly found in adults. The other skin disease that people confuse psoriasis with would be eczema. The difference between those two is that eczema affects the skin by appearing red, inflamed, peeling, cracked, blistered, and pus-filled. When psoriasis is appeared on the skin it causes intense itching. Nearly three percent of the world's population, men, women, and children, even newborn babies, have psoriasis. Although there are many treatments for psoriasis, many people still face a poor quality of life because treatments often don't work or are very expensive or may cause serious side effects.
