What Is coal
Coal is a Nonrenewable resource which means once it’s all gone it's gone forever. Coal is also really bad for the environment, It pollutes the air from the harmful smoke it creates when it comes out of a car exhaust, and out of a power plant then goes up into the air. When in the air it creates a ton of stuff like global warming acid rain, and ton of other stuff that is bad for the environment.
The cost of pollution. We use way too much of the coal, to use it on our cars, our furnace, and a grill. Another thing that happens is that it pollutes the ground by people mining, and once they find a mining spot that has a lot of coal, they spread out the landform to create a bigger mining spot, Which destroys forests, soil, and habitats. So animals are dying from the harmful stuff that coal creates.
The benefits of having coal, coal powers up the power plant by power up the boiler. It also powers up cars to run so that
It pollutes the air by the many things that coal creates like smoke to bring a truck back and forth to the mining places, and many others. It pollutes the water by oil spills from big ships, which results into seagulls and other flying animals to go on it because they think it's a school of fish then go in it and get stuck. It pollutes the Environment by taking to much of the coal resources and if it gets lit under ground it's gonna stay lit for a long time.
Coal, coal is bad for basically anything, it creates pollution, habitat loss, and we use way too much of it which results into less and less of the coal percentage.
