When you're getting a new dog for the first time you have so many questions. A great natural shampoo, and brush are vital to keeping both your dog and your house clean. A nail trimmer of file will help reduce scratches from an excited dog jumping up to greet you.

A great and cost friendly Veterinarian. When you bring your new dog home you will want to ensure he is healthy and strong. A trip to the vet for a great heartworm and flea treatment and important vaccines should be on the top of your list for your new dog.

If your new puppy is going to be an inside pet, then you should strongly consider housebreaking him. Housebreaking a puppy not only stops him from urinating or defecating in the house, but also trains him to hold it until it’s time to go outside. Keep in mind that in order to housebreak a puppy, you will have to invest time and energy for about a month or so. You should have the following items before you bring your new puppy home. You will need a crate, basically a small dog carrier or kennel, preferably plastic material because it’s easier to clean out. Toys, dog treats, verbal command (potty/outside), potty location, patience, good attitude, hard liquor or beer, Motrin and additional patience will be needed during this process.…

Owning pets is a big responsibility. Cat and dog owners should take care to groom their pets properly and train them to be good members of society. Grooming is important not only for looks but for overall pet health. Training is essential to having a pet able to bond with you and the rest of your family. Keeping your pets clean and groomed is essential to their living healthy lives. Just like humans, dogs should be bathed regularly (a few times a year) and when otherwise needed (after an encounter with a skunk, for example). Don't bathe your dog too often, as it will deplete the natural oils in the dog's coat that keep the fur and skin healthy. Though cats are better at self-cleaning than dogs, they may need to be bathed once or twice a year. Remember to use species-specific shampoos and purchase them from a reputable retailer. Clip dog and cat nails at least once a month. Use pet clippers to do this. Give your pets food that promotes dental health, and consider a professional veterinary oral cleaning once a year.…
