Abstract This essay will discuss the process of how to apply for an online class. It will give a step by step process to show how it should be done.
Keywords: School, Online

Going back to school is a great step to furthering your education and improving your work skills and to help better yourself for the future. There are many online schools to choose from that offer different programs. It is a lengthy process to choosing which school is right for you and there are several steps to take to register for the school of your choice. The first step is to research all of the schools of your interests. Look to see if they are accredited and if any credits that you have prior to registering would transfer to the school of your choice. You do not want to choose a school that does not accept credits earned from other universities or job trainings. Once you have decided on the school that you want to attend, you will want to apply for any financial aid that may be available to you, such as grants, loans or scholarships. This is called FAFSA and it means “free application for financial student aid”. On most college sites there is a link for you to click on to register, if not you can type in FAFSA in the search engine of the internet and it will provide different links for you to choose from. When applying for financial aid, you will need your name, date of birth, social security number, the school name and code and copy of your year-end tax return. Applying for financial aid before registering for a school can speed up the process of acceptance into that school. It is a long process, but it is well worth it in the end. The next step is registration of the school of your choice. You can either register online or you may contact the school and speak to a student administrator by phone. The administrator will assist you through the process of registration.

My name is Christy Hitt. I am a mother of two wonderful daughters who are now grown, married and have children of their own, and yes that makes me a grandmother. I travel with my husband as his job requires him to do. I work with a physician on a remote desktop and have access to the business computer wherever I go. I have been working in the medical field for fourteen years now. The medical field is rapidly changing in every aspect of the word. It is getting harder and more stressful to try and figure out all the changes on my own. I talked with my husband about possibly me going back to school to obtain more knowledge in medical billing and coding. My husband thought this would be a great idea and backed me 100 percent. The only worry was how I was going to handle my fulltime job, moving every three to six months to a different state, taking care of our home in Florida and school work. My husband assured me that we would figure out a way that we could accomplish this and make time for me to study. So, I started my online studies with Penn Foster to obtain my Associates degree in Healthcare Management. I wake up around 4:30 in the morning to help my husband get ready for his day, which would include getting the coffee going, making lunch and of course trying to wake him up; the man sleeps like a rock. I then have to get myself ready for my day. As I am booting up my computer, my Internet goes out, how convenient. Now, I have to call the cable company to come out as soon as possible to get it fixed, as my work and school both require me to be connected to an Internet service. I start by calling the patients and reminding them about their appointments for the following day; this can be time consuming and often takes a good part of the day as we see approximately fifty patients a day. I can see the insurance aging is getting behind and that is something I have to work on today, as this is how we get paid. I also have to do re-credentialing for our Medicaid and…

The first step in this process is to research and find the college you want to go to. Students should look for colleges based on how far they want to go from home, what career they want to pursue, what sports they like, and most importantly they must see if they can get into that college. Once the student picks the college they want to go to, they can begin planning their courses and activities based on those college’s requirements.…

Most people enjoy having some alone time, taking time out to relax is really important to maintain a positive attitude. It is the time you get to escape. You can go anywhere you want, away from everyone and all the things that are on your mind; into a place in your mind that makes you feel happy and relaxed. One way to do that is by taking a bath. The best time to relax is at night before ending the day and going to bed.…

Laundry is a daily chore that must be done. I do not know of anyone who enjoys the daily ritual of cleaning clothes but with a few easy steps it does not have to be such a hassle. There is also some pre-planning steps you can take that will save you time and frustration. The first and most important step in the laundry process is to be prepared. Make sure you have all the supplies you need to get the job done before you get started. You will need laundry detergent. You can buy powder or liquid detergent, but I prefer liquid because powder detergent does not always dissolve completely and you can substitute liquid detergent for stain remover in a pinch. You will also need a stain remover, such as Shout, and bleach. Bleach now comes in a color safe version so you can use it on all your clothes, not just whites. I also recommend using a liquid fabric softener in the wash but you will need sheets for the dryer as well. Most washing machines have a place to put it or you can buy a ball that goes in the washer and releases the fabric softener at the right time. Also, you will need a basket for your dirty clothes to go in.. I keep several so I can sort them as they get dirty instead of digging through one basket to get a load. Once you have all your supplies you are ready to start. Depending on what you are washing you will need to adjust the setting on your washer. For example towels can be washed on heavy duty but finer linens such as silks need a more delicate setting. Start the washer and add the detergent and any bleach as the water begins to fill. If you do not already have your laundry separated in baskets, you will need to go through everything to get a load ready. Like colors and fabrics…

How we choose to govern ourselves has taken many forms throughout world history. From dictatorships to democracies, the rulers and the ruled struggle for power. This struggle was a topic Orwell wrote about often, including his essay “Shooting an Elephant.” Leaders are always seeking ways to maintain control over the people and in some societies this has resulted in very authoritarian rulers. The notion that individual thought is dangerous creates fear and citizens begin to, as Orwell writes, “wear a mask and his face grows to fit it” (Orwell 288). From there it can quickly turn into a totalitarian state. In this totalitarian state of power, there are fewer checks and balances, which makes it easier for the governments to export that set of ideals to foreign countries. There are many examples of this throughout history such as the Spanish in Latin America, the British in India, and the rise of Nazi Germany. For Eric Blair, or as we know him, George Orwell, it was his experiences in the British Raj that greatly influences his life and writing. As a British Imperial Policeman in Burma, Eric Blair faced a daily struggle trying to exist in a society that hated him even as he hated himself. For him, the escape was to put on the mask and bury his thoughts.…

Everything we do in life involves some kind of process to get it accomplished. Whether it is tying our shoes, baking a cake, or changing the oil in the car. People do things differently and have certain steps they take, in their own way, to get it done. This essay could be written about practically anything, but it will be about how to carve a jack-o-lantern. Carving a pumpkin is actually pretty easy. With a few quick, straight cuts with a knife, triangular eyes, a nose, and a toothy smile can be made. The result is a face that almost anyone will recognize, even if it was not drawn on a piece of paper. It is the face of a jack-o-lantern. Carving a really memorable jack-o-lantern can take a bit more planning, involving steps such as, preparing the pumpkin, actually carving the pumpkin, and getting the pumpkin finished and ready to put on display.…

    1. Obtain applications. Applications can be obtained online at college websites; downloadable and electronic applications are now available at most college websites. In fact, most colleges now prefer that applicants complete their online application (as opposed to the printable paper application), as it is more efficient for them and for you. Application fees may be waived by some schools if you use the electronic applications. However, if you would like to complete the application by hand, you may obtain a printable version online or by calling, writing, or emailing to request an application and information. Some applications are available in the Career Center (check with Ms. Roth).…
