Problems Faced By Hostelite Students of AIMC

According to Oxford advanced learners dictionary “Hostel is a building in which cheap food and lodging are provided for students”.
Literature Review:
According to a study, the students (both male and females) after initial adjustment problems, eventually get adjusted to the hostel life.1
A good environment, hygiene, food, water, security and electricity facility etc are the hopes of a student coming to hostel.2
Studies showed that students in a hostel life face problems with studies. Some like to study alone, some with their room-mates while some in the library.3
Hostelite face disrespectful attitude, language-based discrimination and even minor things seem to be offensive while living in
Hostels.4
According to a previous study conducted at the University of
Ibadan in Nigeria; the hostel authorities at that time didn’t let the stale students to live in hostel because of accommodating the fresh and final year students in the same place.5

    Last week when I attended, there were significantly less students in class than in the previous weeks, around 10 compared to the usual 20. That same day, one student came to class, but he was not his usual self and seemed very quiet and reserved.
