Baby dumping is a social crisis and has a chronic increase as many cases are occurring in Malaysian society. Baby dumping mean the act that throw away the baby any where or leaving alone and without take care for a period of time. Based on the report the number of baby dumping cases increase in Malaysia.After dropping from 102 cases in 2008 to 79 in 2009, the figure began going up again, to 91 in 2010 and and 98 last year.So far until 2010 jul, 31 cases have been reported, Women, Family and Community Development Ministry deputy secretary-general Harjeet Singh said. Among the baby dumping cases teenagers always seen to be involved in this situation. Some teenagers giving birth to the baby in the school's hostel and throw in garbage or in toilet . From year 2005 to 2010, 472 cases of baby dumping have been found and recorded. In these 472 cases, 214 babies were found alive and 258 babies were found dead. Poor baby that are innocent just because of there are unwanted child that have to face the fact risk of losing life. Child dumping is the practice of dumping offspring outside of legal adoption.The dumped child is called a foundling or throwaway. According to a reliable statistics, one baby is dumped every week.Baby dumping happen due to unwanted pregnancies. Mostly, babies are dumped by unwed mothers and under-aged girls who are young, naive, immature and frightened. The pregnant girls find themselves in a difficult situation.
