Primary Life Goal Analysis
My primary life goal is to become a lawyer. I plan to dedicate my life to helping exonerate those who have been wrongly accused; serving time in prison or awaiting capital punishment. Before I am able to become a lawyer I first have to get into law school which means I have to do what I can to make myself a likely candidate to be accepted.

I believe I can accomplish this because of my unique perspective in that I see everyone as a potential leader. I believe I can influence leadership in others and the more leaders on campus the more opportunity to accomplish meaningful and positive change. Accomplish meaningful and positive change for who? I believe I can inspire this philosophy on campus if given the opportunity. As the current Director of Legislative Affairs I have created a resolution for the SJCC ASG student senate to reestablish on-campus child care services and editor of the Times newspaper I have executed a plan to raise awareness and awaken other student leaders on campus. I plan on spending the time I have remaining at San Jose City College exercising the leader within. I plan to grow and develop through participation on campus and make a difference in the lives of students who come after. I am dedicated to encouraging and supporting more women leadership and building student confidence. My education will powerfully impact my community because I am determined to achieve my goals and in order to I must ignite leadership in others on campus. Leaders don't stop after accomplishing one thing or just because of failure. Good leaders persist; they look for ways to right injustices, grow their networks and encourage the younger generations to become successful

When influencing change, small acts of kindness and truth can be more impactful than forcing change to occur. One of the biggest parts of my senior year has been advocating positive change within our school. Throughout my high school career, I have been able to grow from my peers but as a senior I became a leader as a student rather than as National Honor Society President.…

The moment you spot a college that fully defines who you are, you have found the right one, and for me, the one would be Wellesley College. The excitement of college is its unbound exploration. College prepares students into the path of the real world with its resource, program, and opportunity. With various similarities, what makes Wellesley uniquely Wellesley? The answer lies with student leadership. Wellesley college’s student organization – Blue Cancer Society drew me instantly. This organization is everything I enjoyed. Similar to my hobby as a volunteer in a Cancer Treatment Department at Mass General Hospital, being a student at Wellesley allows me to take a bigger role. Wellesley not only provides the academic interest that I pursue but also takes part in a matter that I value. At Wellesley, every student is given an opportunity to be a leader. It sets a bigger stage for me to enact what…

Throughout middle and high school, I have positively influenced others as a member of my High School Student Government class, as Commissioners of Social Media and Recognition, and as Junior Class President. On occasion, I took the role of Interim ASB President, where I was in charge of the Student Government class as a whole. My major responsibility as Junior Class President was to communicate comments presented by my class to administration. This helped bridge communication gaps between students and administration. In my role as Junior Class President, I promoted an open door policy for any classmate to come to me with issues and helped them to the best of my abilities. For example, a classmate came to me asking for ways to improve his grade…

Just as the AP course positively impacted me, with the assistance of the Woodford R. Porter Scholarship, I know I can have the same impact on the University of Louisville community. At the University of Louisville, I hope to earn my degree in chemical engineering. I do understand that this degree requires a lot of knowledge about mathematics. Because I was able to overcome difficult academic situations in high schools, I know I am better prepared to deal with these challenges in college. Furthermore, my experiences of struggling in my AP courses have helped me become more sympathetic to my peers. If I see one of my peers struggling, I will provide assistance to them because I know how hard it is to ask for help. By working with my peers, we can ultimately develop a friendship inside and outside the classroom. By developing these relationships, we can learn from one another. While I cannot change my peers’ perspectives about certain issues, I can introduce them to a new perspective, my perspective. By introducing my peers to my perspective, I have helped them become more self-aware as they can do the same for me. In essence, by attending the University of Louisville, I know I can uphold the University’s mission by improving my peers’ lives by sharing my own lived experiences in classrooms. By sharing my narrative and experiences, I know I will create a more diverse…

In the past, I have demonstrated leadership as both the assistant manager of a frozen yogurt shop and as a leader in the University Honors Program as a member of the Honors Student Council. I have also exhibited leadership throughout my academic and sports career by acting as a role model for my peers and leading by example. As a leader, I know that I do not need to be the most vocal, and instead understand that I should set the standard for my peers to follow. My past leadership…
