Pretty Little Liars
Are Pretty Little Liars good at keeping their dirty secretes?

Pretty Little Liars a favorite ABC Family series is built around five teenage friends, until one goes missing and is found dead. It has a strong hint of supernatural force that mean no good. It makes most popular vampire romances look anemic. Because of a popular series of HarperTeen books by Sara Shepard, Pretty Little Liars follows the nervous lives of four girls in Rosewood, Pa.
It's a small town and these girls seem to have it all and that sets it up for an even better drama, when we start to see they also have secrets. The season premier starts with the disappearance and apparent death of the fifth girl in the circle, Alison DiLorentis.
If the PLL series were traditional, Alison, Sasha Pieterse would have been the sweetest girl in school and no one could imagine anyone wanting to hurt her.
If that's what you're expecting here, you’re wrong. Alison was a bitchy gossiper, backstabber and cruel practical joker. In any case, they were all together the night she disappeared and we join the story a year later, when free spirit Aria, Lucy Hale, nerdySpencer,TroianBellisario, crazy Hanna, Ashley Benson and jock Emily Shay Mitchell have drifted apart.
Drug and alcohol use, foul language, scanty clothing, sexual innuendo and some passioate make-out scenes and homosexuality all make Pretty Little Liars a series that keeps viewers on their feet. Every episode leaves you with a cliffhanger.

They run into each other in random chance encounters, however, that suggest each is harboring dark secrets, some related to Alison and some not. Since they apparently weren't into deep sharing when they were all best friends then, they aren't spilling now.
Except they have two problems. A local cop is determined to find out what happened to Alison. Second, the girls all start getting mysterious messages that suggest some supernatural force knows all the secrets and could and sometimes do expose them to the public.

After Alison and Tara ran off into the woods and relaxed by the lake. They both told each other stories that they have always wished would come true. They imagined those stories coming true by acting them out in an imaginary play scene. They sang “Kokomo at the top of [their] lungs over and over again” (Evans 39), wishing that they were somewhere else than at their grandmothers house. They would run off into the woods to get away from their grandmother Lydia, to get away from all the controlling rules and regulations that she has placed over the girls. However Lydia did not place harsh rules on Alison, which might be because Alison is the favorited granddaughter. After a while of the girls running off, Lydia finally had it. Lydia did not want the girls “disobeying her and running off” (Evans 40), anymore. So Lydia scared the girls by stating that “snakes are in the lake… [they] love water” (Evans 40). Lydia tells this little white lie so that she can manipulate the girls into thinking that the only safe place is to stay inside of that once luxurious house. However, Lydia’s little white lie spiraled into an occurrence of both day and night terrors for Tara. Tara could not sleep by herself anymore because of a night terror that caused her to toss and turn right off the top bunkbed and smack her head hard onto the solid cold floor. Startled, Alison was the one who ran to Tara’s side. When Lydia heard the loud…

His new late-night walking buddy Jenny took it upon herself to help patch up her parents' crumbling marriage. After learning of her mother's affair last week, she brought her mom home, so we finally got to meet Alison Humphrey. Apparently, Alison made a lot of sacrifices for Rufus' music career early on in their relationship, and recently she discovered that she needed some "me" time. She probably didn't have a whole lot of time as a young adult to find herself, because from the looks of things, she and Rufus must have gotten married and starting having their kids at what, 18? (Seriously, Alison and Rufus look like they could be playing Dan and Jenny's older siblings instead of their parents, and the same could be said about Nate's mom.) But Alison and Rufus make a pretty couple, so I'll let that go. At first, Rufus seemed rather hurt and unforgiving (as was Dan), but by the end of the night our favorite art dealer/rocker was in a very forgiving mood. So what does this mean for the state of the Humphrey marriage? Will Alison be moving back with her family? I'm not sure. I feel like we still don't know much about Alison yet. She seems a little... flighty. But maybe she's sincere about getting this need to explore out of her system. I guess time will tell. But for the moment, Alison and Rufus seem pretty happy, as does…
