presidents duties

The primary duties of the class president usually include working with students to resolve problems, and relay information to the class. This information includes questions, concerns, gripes, groans, bitches and injuries that need to be reported. The president also has the responsibility of leading class is also the main resource for all questions and knowledge that is not understood he/she acts as a mentor to the class itself.

The term for a class president is from the time he/she is elected to the time of graduation. The class president in the class is also in charge of the class guide, squad leaders and the two platoons. He/she is also in charge of the class treasurer and keeps accountability of all the funds that have and need to be raised. These funds consist of class PT gear, class photos for the plaque as well as the plaque itself also the graduation costs. The recruit in this position is also looked up to as the voice of reason for the class.

The vice president must be familiarized with all the responsibilities of the president and must be ready to preside when called on. At all times the vice president should work in close cooperation with the president. The vice president will play a role in the daily operations of the academy, work out issues as they arise, and participate in decision making. That equates to a fair amount of responsibility but not necessarily a lot of time, which means you can take on additional responsibilities that you need to take a lot of work load off the president to work hand and hand and accomplish more.

This is my understanding of the roles of president and vice president. It is a job for those who want to do the best for the student body and the staff. They need to present and conduct themselves in the utmost traditions of the billet they hold, they need to be the liaison I will perform the duties of the president or vice president to the best of my abilities.
