This was not surprising to see, for this are scenes shown on television or movies. You are being watch for every step you take when you step out of your house in the morning to start your day.Your drive to work , the cameras catching your licence plate that you register in your name and the quick stop at McDonald and using your debit card before you clock in at work with the ID register just to you.     The governments of 1984 and America both violate the privacy of their citizens. In Orwell 's 1984, the government violates its citizen 's privacy by monitoring them, using telescreens and the "thought police." Knowing that "at any rate they [the government] could plug in your wire whenever they wanted to," one could never achieve peace of mind.
