When it comes to sexual decisions, an individual must think about all the consequences. If they do to wish to get pregnant, they need to think about some form of birth control. If they do not wish to catch a sexually transmitted disease, they must think about using protection. As with anything that we do in life, we should think long and hard about having sex when we are not married. As fun as it is and as pleasurable as it may be, unwanted things can happen. In today’s times, teens seem to be less active when it comes to sex than they were back in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.…
This has led people to lose respect for themselves and their bodies. These sexual acts are taking place at younger and younger ages as society, largely through the media, has promoted these unchaste actions. I believe that it takes away the from the quality of people’s relationships because instead of getting to know someone better, they are just getting to know someone’s body better. I think this aids in leading people to get married despite not being ready for such a commitment. That can lead to a divorce later on when the couple realizes that their marriage isn’t working. The divorce not only affects the couple, but it affects any children they may have had before or during their marriage. Now the children won’t grow up with the stability they deserve in a family setting. The premarital, sexual acts may also result in a pregnancy where the couple decides to have an…
According to the history of the Navajo Tribe, the Holy People lived in the underworld and helped by guiding the First Man and First Woman to earth (McCoy 1988). The Holy People are said to be attracted to songs, dances, and chants during the ceremony along with the creation of Sandpainting. The Sandpainting is used in the healing process of the ceremony to draw a picture that tells a story of the Holy People. The Navajo culture have amazed so many people to how beautifully constructed the rituals are performed.…
Premarital sex is a huge problem in society today. People everywhere are not waiting until they get married to have sex. The young people having sex are not aware of the consequences and the risks that come with having sex. They just think it is fun and it gives them something to do but sex is a very serious thing. Currently more than 45% of high school females and 48% of high school males have had sexual intercourse. The average age of first intercourse is 17 years for girls and 16 years for boys. However approximately one fourth of all teens report having had intercourse by 15 years of age. Here are three reasons why teenagers should wait to have intercourse; Teenagers have a high possibility of not being able to finish high school if and when they get pregnant, sexually transmitted diseases, and health risks for both the teenage mother and the young child. Pre-marital sex can lead to life threatening circumstances and self destruction.…
People might disagree about this statement they would say Purity seems archaic; abstinence impossible. Why wait when everyone else is getting the goods now? It’s just sex, the subject of nearly every movie and primetime show, even magazine ads. What’s so special about it? In a sex-saturated culture, waiting till marriage seems outdated. Pleasure is the name of the game. But that’s not the whole story. In addition to the risk of contracting STDs and AIDS or getting pregnant, premarital sex leads to emotional distress, distrust, regret and emptiness. That’s because sex connects two people in body and spirit; it’s impossible to separate the two. If you’re planning to give away your virginity, or are hurting from past sexual experiences, read on for a different view of sex.…
Using data from the RELATE Institute, this dissertation explores three aspects of premarital relationship dissolution: 1) the experience of breaking up; 2) the occurrence of positive breakups; and 3) a comparison of the factors that lead some couples to break up and others to stay together or marry. Premarital romantic partners completed a relationship evaluation instrument and were contacted eighteen months later to investigate changes in their relationship. If the respondents were no longer dating their time 1 partner, they were asked to complete a breakup instrument. Employing quantitative methods including OLS and logistic regression, the results indicate that a greater level of commitment between partners, such as cohabiting or engagement, leads to a more difficult breakup experience. One-sided relationships, where one partner is more committed, usually result in one-sided breakups. Forming a new relationship helps to overcome negative aspects of a breakup. Overall, breakups do not have long-term negative consequences for people, even if they get dumped. Most breakups can be considered positive, but most are not friendly.…

The play “Before Breakfast” by Eugene O’Neal is a prime example of a dysfunctional marriage that was built on a weak foundation. Mr. and Mrs. Rowland built their marriage on the result of their lust, Mrs. Rowland becoming pregnant. The death of their baby made their marriage miserable. Mrs. Rowland stayed married because of all the benefits she gained from it like going up a social class, she was use to the routine she had the appearance she was putting on and the fact that she was the breadwinner in the relationship.…

On a late stormy night, raindrops falling hard, thunders crashing. I shrieked as the phone rings loudly breaking the silence that night *riiing*riiing*riiing*. The speaker was speaking hastily and worried as she was telling me she heard a loud shriek on the next house. “E-ex-excuse me sir is this police station? I-I have complain about our neighbours house. I heard a very loud shrieked as I was about to go to bed. Please, please! Check on it” she said. “Calm down miss, I’ll check on it as the dawn broke the night” I said. As a police officer, it is my duty to keep this town safe and peaceful. I scrubbed my eyes as I was thinking what could have happened. I couldn’t sleep, it’s driving me nuts. I hope there’s nothing wrong.…

What are the consequences of premarital sex? How does it affect children who are born out of wedlock? Should there be consequences for having children out of wedlock? These questions plague America today as more and more people choose to disregard long-standing social traditions of abstaining from sex until marriage. Since the Sexual Revolution, attitudes about sex have changed dramatically. Gone are the days when it was a social norm to marry and then have sex which naturally led to having children. The number of traditional families (husband and wife with children) is declining as more and more people seem to discover the joy of sex for its own sake.…

Premarital sex is considered immoral as its consequences leads to other immoral behavior and also breaking of the law. Our fathers understood that sex was a blessed experience made only for married couples as a way to express their love and desire for each other. However, our youths today think of sex as a fun-thing; they have the belief that it is okay to have sex with who ever one is having a relationship with, and youths engage in several relationships before deciding to settle down. Yet, our fathers were right with their opinion about sex; sex should be a blessed ordeal and not a fun thing. Youths should try and preserve themselves for marriage, but in a situation where a person cannot hold himself he should then try and protect himself by using a condom because of the effect that unprotected sex would have on him.…
