Poplar Springs Hospital Case Summary
Presenting Problem: Currently at Poplar Springs Hospital as a TDOafter running away from home following Chesapeake Police involvement. She verbalized suicidal ideations and stated she was homicidal wanting to stab her family and kill them.

Family composition/ Current Supports: Raised by her mother until recently being placed in the custody of her aunt. In the living residence it was a total of 12 people. She states she wants to move back with her mother. Her father currently lives in Texas.

Psychiatric Treatment HX: Acute hospializations at Kempsville and MVBH.

Medications: Seroquel XR 300mg, Trazadone 50mg, Adderall ER 50mg, Celxa 20mg, Singulair and Proventil.

    The Joint Commission added the National Patient Safety Goal: Identifying Individuals at Risk for Suicide (NPSG 15.01.01) in 2007. This goal was directed at psychiatric and general hospitals with patients whose primary complaint is an emotional or behavior disorder, including substance abuse (according to DSM).
