Ponyboy

I picked Ponyboy because he's cool and unique like me. Ponyboy is kind of short and slim and he has tall hair with grease in his hair .

Ponyboys real name is Ponyboy curtis. Pony boy has two brothers Sodapop and Darry.

Sodapop and Darry both work at a gas station.

Ponyboy and l have a lot alike like he has a thing for school work where he gets everything done for school the next day. I do to, I don't like to get behind either. Just like I do not like to stay inside too long Ponyboy is the same way he is always outside. Another way me and ponyboy are alike is that ponyboy likes going to the Movie Theater I also like going to the Movie Theater.

Ponyboy impacts Darry because he's his brother and Ponyboy loves him. Johnny

Buckminsterfullerenes or buckyballs are the next step in finding the cure to cancerous tumors. Buckyballs are made out of nano tubes and look like a spider-web stuck together to form a ball. Dally is a criminal. Just like Ponyboy is peaceful, Dally is violent. “He’s the type of person who’ll probably find the fight. (pg 28)” This can be easily interpreted to me that he'll go looking for one and if there isn't one around he'll definitely start one. The only reason a person would want to fight is because they have a deep seeded resentment against their status in life and the crave excitement. This is confirmed when Ponyboy says, “Dally blew off steam in gang fights… (pg 47)” That means that he wasn’t fighting for a cause, nor for monetary gain. He also slits tires for fun. Both of these clean cut fact point towards an obvious conclusion. It can only mean that for him, violence and crime is a form of entertainment. He has nothing…

Thanks to modern technology, messages can be sent in seconds to virtually anywhere in the world. However, this was not always the case. In 1860, the Pony Express was used to deliver mail and small packages across the United States, particularly throughout the west. The job was no easy task. According to the National Park Service, riders would ride “more than 1,800 miles in 10 days! From St. Joseph, Missouri, to Sacramento, California the Pony Express could deliver a letter faster than ever before.” Due to the harsh conditions the riders and station workers had to endure, only men were allowed to work for the company. Even though the Pony Express was only in operation for nineteen months, it became associated with certain aspects of western culture and since then has been featured in many novels and western films. The television show The Young Riders gives a powerful insight to what it would be like to live in the wild west and to be a rider for the Pony Express.…

I think that Soda’s two traits that I picked him, describe him in a good ways. He is very empathetic and seemed like he was always worried about Pony and his other brother Darry but he was very understanding about what was going on with them. Soda is really handsome but that didn’t make him conceited or anything, he was proud of his good looks, but he didn’t flaunt them or brag about it. I admire Soda; he is a very caring person and was never rude to anyone unless there was a really good reason to be. I wish I a had a personality like him, not caring what other people thought and just moving on with…
