Pharmacist counseling has been shown to improve the safety and efficacy of medication use, patient knowledge about medications, and adherence to therapy.1 Pharmacists should be encouraged to provide medication counseling to patients on the day-to-day basis. The system changes have to be implemented to allow pharmacists to offer this service to every patient, as this may improve a patient’s understanding of the disease states and medication therapies, which will lead to better health
