People have been arguing about gun bans and gun control laws for years and years. It wasn’t until recent that the topic became a major problem in our society. The decision to outlaw the possession of a firearm has been very deeply discussed. Gun bans should not be passed because it leaves Americans defenseless against armed criminals. How would you feel if you didn’t have a gun to protect yourself against a home invader? The United States averages one school shooting per week since December 2012. Nothing has been done to change or enforce gun laws and that makes a lot of people angry. In December of 2012, six adults and 20 students were killed at sandy hook elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut. A gun does not wake up one day and decide that it wants to kill someone, people do. Guns are not good or bad, it’s what good or bad people choose to do with the gun.
