Animal testing is when certain companies such as but not limited to Tide, Lysol, and Windex test their products and even medication on small animals to see how they react to the product. Some say that animal testing is a needed resource for research. While others say that animal testing is unethical and cruel towards the animals . Animal testing should be banned because, there are many other ways to test these products, animal testing is unethical, and animal testing is not accurate enough for the price tag attached to the testing.

The first reason why we shouldn’t have animal testing is because animals are getting hurt or abused. “Over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused in US labs every year.” The chemicals that the people are using are burning or other worse things to them. The chemicals that they use on the animals could hurt or kill them. Over half of side effects cannot be detected in…

Every year millions of animals are subjected to horrible unethical experimentations in order to advance medical science. Dogs, cats, monkeys, mice, and other animals are kept in dark rooms in cages while being exposed to various toxic and poisonous substances daily in order to test how the substance may react in humans. These poor creatures suffer from inhumane treatments and are denied any form of happiness, and these experiments should cease and alternatives should be used instead. Animal testing is a cruel and ineffective medical practice that produces unreliable results and those laboratories should use safer alternatives that will provide more accurate results.…

Animal testing for scientific or commercial use is wrong and inaccurate because animals are made up differently than humans. Animal testing is procedures done on animals for research to test medicine and commercial items to see if they are harmful or effective for humans. The experiments can cause the animals to have physical and mental suffering and distress. Most of the animals are killed at the end of the experimentation but some are used again in other experiments. One compelling reason to put a stop to animal testing is it’s unreliable. In fact a drug tested safe on animals was released and turned out to be toxic.Surely if we are relying on animal testing to cure diseases, it should be almost 100% accurate so children or adults who end up taking that drug to help them with their illness don’t end up dead. Also animal and human systems are quite different, penicillin is toxic to guinea pigs.Penicillin a drug, we use is toxic to guinea pigs an animal that could have prevented this drug from coming out because a guinea pig could have tested it and clearly the animal would have a negative reaction. One final example is 92% of drugs approved for testing in human trials fails to be approved for human use.Clearly animal testing is unreliable.…

Many people today can say they love their pet, whether it is a dog, a cat, a rabbit, or fish. Little do we actually think about the animals suffering to the torture of cruel animal testing that goes on behind the scenes of the company’s we love. Maybelline, Head and Shoulders, and Clorox are all companies that test on animals, yet are still supported by the thousands of people that buy and use their products. I believe the main reason people continue to support companies that perform animal testing is because society today is not informed or educated about the severity of animal testing. People do not know or care to research if a company performs animal testing. Besides consumers keeping these companies alive and running, animal testing is not humane or morally right. It has been scientifically proven that animals can to a certain extent feel pain (Tell Me if it Hurts: Investigating Whether Animals Feel Pain by Caroline…

Animal testing has been a topic of debate for many generations. It is difficult to imagine a common house hold pet subjected to extreme procedures of the mildest and painless form to the harshest form imaginable. I am talking about your average mouse, rabbit, cat or dog. At the same time, consumers want to be assured they are using the safest products available, and people want science to find cures for life-threatening diseases. Lately, science has tried to prove out theories and hypnosis through computer algorithms but we still have to rely on physical subjects like the animals referenced. There is no public argument that says we should not test products before entering the market, the debate is the method by which these products should be tested. Animal testing is necessary for biomedical research, but should be eradicated for vanity reasons in terms of cosmetics.…
