Persuasive Essay Against Vampire Bat

Vampire bats have been making an appearance in Panama, attacking innocent cattle. Many of the cattle have red markings and scars from the almost nightly bloodlettings. But, some unlucky few bats have been caught and a poison called Vampirin applied to their backs when they would be groomed at the nest, the birds who had groomed them would take in the poison and die from it. I am on the side of not killing these bats because they could hold the answer to a big problem and their anti-coagulant has been used to stop heart attacks this essay will include my stand on Vampire Bats “To kill or not to kill”. These bats pollinate many fruits, the exact number isn’t known but, they eat pollinate over 300 different fruits. It includes the Agave plant, the Saguaro Cactus. As for insect/ pest control they simply eat them. On the other hand, the nightly blood sucking’s wouldn’t be good for anyone’s health, in a single month in Panama about ten calves died from blood loss. Bats can and have been killers in the past and probably will be in the future but can you really blame them? Their homes are being destroyed by us humans and we have to take partial fault in this. They have been flushed out of their previous forests that were full of food. The answer to many diseases or symptoms, could be right in front of our faces. While other people are out for blood on this matter, most people don’t think that that is a good idea.
