Persuasive Essay About Littering
In The Town I live in we have some community issue as with litter. The Main Reason I Picked this issue out of all of the others is because littering in our community is very poorly taken care of and it needs to be improved and addressed. If the Improvement is made then human and animals can be safe and out of most harm way. Few things I will be Explaining about is how it effects us, how it can be improved, and finally how it can benefit us in our future. Littering can make or break our life as we know it today.
My First subject against littering in our community is how it is going to affect us. Each of the different items can hurt the Animals and humans for example plastic bottles can’t get compressed can take over 100s of years for them to do that. The plastic release odor off the plastic and can damage the air we breathe. Littering can kill animals then if it does can kill our food supply and we can die. If littering was down more than it is today we will be living a way healthier life then we are today. Pollution will not be in our water and not in the air we breathe. If the pollution was down global warning would be as bad as it is now and would be fairly down/low. If we don't instead of having just a couple of states that have a high number of homeless people there will be like a competition of which states can rise the fastest of having the most people that can not have there own place to live and higher death rates. For example right now Los Angeles is the largest homeless population which 55% has grown to 12,536 and that alone has said that california has one- third of the homeless population.(Los Angeles times) The increase of that outpaced the one in new york city with a ratio 3:1 which is what i meant it’s like a competition of who has the most people in need. Instead of that they should have a friendly competition of who can help the most and reduce the number of deaths per year that's what should be done positive instead of negative.…

Every year, more than 300 million tons of plastic is made, this poses as a threat when you take a look at how much of this plastic is only intended to be used once and thrown away. Throughout the entire planet, plastics are being used more often and are being thrown away rather than using the recycling bin. When you throw these plastics away, they are taken to a landfill which often times will bury the garbage underground; nevertheless, although you can no longer see the plastic waste, it is still taking a toll on our health. Burying these products creates issues with the ground water that we humans, as well as our pets and other animals, drink from. When the plastics are buried in landfills, they have the potential to leak harmful chemicals into the ground water. Not only do these plastics effect our ground water, but they often times will find their way to the ocean if the landfill is found near a beach. The trash that has found its way to an ocean can float for thousands of…

There is no question litter is as big problem not only on campus but around the world. Most litter found on campus is fast food wrappers and bags, and drink containers. A few reasons people give for why there is litter are: laziness, lack of motivation to wait till they can get to a trashcan to throw trash away, and lack of available trashcans in parking lots and heavily trafficked areas. As a proposal to help with the littering problem on campus, I suggest more trashcans in the parking lots and other high trafficked areas, some motivational propaganda to promote awareness of litter problem and personal student initiatives to help keep campus clean.…
