Personality Factors

Individual Reflection Project My four personality factors are extraversion, sensing, feeling, and judging. Therefore, my personality type is ESFJ. Generally, people who fall into the ESFJ personality type are friendly, cooperative people who work hard to get their job done. It usually is not very hard for ESFJ’s to work within groups because they tend to get along with most people and are honestly concerned about the welfare of others. Because an ESFJ works best with a job where their helping skills can be appreciated, they tend to work in traditional settings where their service can be practical and personal. Several fields seem to fit the ESFJ personality type best. These include but are not limited to careers in teaching, management, sales, personal services, and care giving. These fields fit an ESFJ because an ESFJ is usually very realistic; they prefer to be upfront and personal with a person than involve themselves with data and other theoretical approaches to problems. Personally, I see myself in the management field; I enjoy being a leader and making the tough decisions that a leader must make. The results are somewhat surprising, mainly because I did not really see myself as someone who would be characterized with the “feeling” personality factor. I do care about others, but I think of myself as a thinker more than one who is overly concerned with the welfare of others. Also, the “extraversion” personality factor was a slight surprise. Honestly, I can be either introverted or extroverted, depending on the time of day or my general mood. However, if I was forced to choose which one I would use to describe myself, I would most likely go with introverted. I am actually very shy and I like to keep to myself, although other people may think otherwise. But apart from that, my self-awareness report was exactly what I expected.

The Myers-Briggs personality type test is one of most used and respected psychological assessments. It contains 16 different personality types and is suppose to represent all the different types of personalities in the world. It is not uncommon for businesses, government jobs and other institutions to incorporate the test to see whether an individual would fit into the culture and atmosphere of the company. According to the test, I am a ESTJ (Extravert(31%), Sensing(1%), Thinking(28%), Judging(28%)), which matched some famous people such as John D. Rockefeller. I was surprised by how accurate the description of the suggested personality style matched my own.…

The type of personalities of every individual is very important. While doing an evaluation of myself using Jung Typology Test, I discovered that I was an ENFJ individual. My primary objective is identity seeking. My life consists of being a teacher or a giver. An ENFJ is an extraverted, iNtuitive, feeling, and judging person. “Each of the ENFJ’s preferences compound to make them a natural convincer. Their energy comes from the outwardly directed, socially oriented, gregarious external world (Extraversion). They prefer to perceive the world as having endless possibilities and meanings (iNtuition), which they use to make subjective, interpersonally based decisions (Feelings). They prefer to live their daily lives in a structured, scheduled, and orderly fashion (Judging), (Kroeger, Thuesen, & Rutledge, pg. 386).” This means that I have extraverted feelings with introverted intuitions. I am a people- focused individual. However, I am considered a smooth talker and very persuading. It is said that ENFJ’s are natural sales people. I found it funny that this statement is true. I am an insurance agent with Allstate. My everyday life…

Generally a person that falls under ENFJ, usually has great interpersonal skills, enjoys helping others, and does great at multitasking. I have always had the passion of helping others. That is one of the reason I decided to major in Christian Counseling. Since I was a child I have always been taken pride on doing things on my own without needing help. One thing that stuck out to me as I read about my type of personality was being vulnerable to getting your feelings hurt by others. Since I was in grammar school, I can recall being very sensitive. I always cared about how others viewed me and what they thought of me.…

In the Myers-Briggs Type indicator/Jung’s Typology Test results I scored ENFJ, which stands for extrovert, intuitive, feeler, and judger. These results seem extremely accurate to me. I do enjoy spending time with people, talking to them, and trying my best to understand them. People fascinate me yet I find it difficult to open up to the people around me, which is a common characteristic among ENFJ’s. Being intuitive, I tend to look at the big picture rather than detail. I rely on my gut rather than my conscious. As a feeler, the decisions I make tie in with the values I grew up learning, leading with my heart and naturally gravitate towards people. Lastly, as a judger, I am super organized! Having a preference towards planned and settled activities.…

My personality type is INTJ. I am 78% introvert, 25% intuitive, 12% thinking, and 56% judging, (www.humanmetrics.com, 2011). I found the test to be accurate and agreed with the results. Introverts are perfectionists that have a high level of confidence. Most introverts are logical thinkers that open their minds to all possibilities. “INTJs are ideal people. They think anything is possible and everything is negotiable, (www.humanmetrics.com, 2011). I possess this introvert quality. I believe that there are always exceptions to rules.…

First I took the personaily test that stated that my personality type is ENTJ. For me to obtain an understanding of my personality type, it is important for me to develop an interpretation of the meaning of ENTJ. Briefly, the ‘E’ refers to Extroversion (vs. Introversion), which means that I am outgoing and tend to focus on the outer world of people and things. The ‘N’ refers to Intuitive (vs. Sensing), which means my interests lie in relationships, and I focus on the future with a view towards patterns and possibilities. The ‘T’ refers to Thinking (vs. Feelings), which means I tend to base decisions primarily on thinking things through instead of emotions. The ‘J’ refers to Judging (vs. Perceptive), which means I prefer to approach life in a more planned and organized manner and like to have things settled. On an overall perspective, as an EFTJ, I am a warm, empathetic, responsive, and responsible person. I am highly attuned to the emotions, needs, and motivations of others. I look to find potential and good in everyone, and I enjoy helping others to fulfill their potential. I can be a catalyst for individual and group growth, as I am loyal and responsive to praise and criticism. I am sociable, a good facilitator to others in a group and can provide inspiring leadership.…

Personality can be defined as, “…the characteristic patterns of thought, feelings, and behaviors that make a person unique. It also arises from within the individual and remains fairly consistent throughout the person’s life.” (Cherry, 2011). In this paper I will examine three personality characteristics, and they are conscientiousness, openness, and extroversion, how they developed during early childhood within family and social relationships, and during education. They will be discussed in relation to how the characteristics influenced my social and occupational choices as an adult.…

To begin with, in our DNA we all have things that make us unique. One of those unique characteristics are our traits. After taking the assessment the letters that were assigned to me were ISTJ. The first one to discuss will be the I. The letter “I” stands for introverted. Being more introverted means I keep more to myself. The characteristics would be thinking and reflecting before acting out. Also being more serious and quiet. They play a more dominant role in behavior. The next letter assigned was the letter “S”. The letter “S” stands for sensing. This means that I use more of my senses like smell and sight rather than intuition. It also provides specific details of memory and recollections from the past. The next letter assigned was the letter “T”. The letter “T” stands for thinking, which is more logical than subjective. It operates from factual principles. An example of a thinking trait would be to naturally notice tasks and work that needs to be accomplished. Finally the last letter assigned was the letter “J”. The letter “J” means judging. This trait tends to take the lead with our relationship with the outside world. An example of a judging characteristic would be to focus on task-related actions and to complete meaningful segments before…
