Personal Narrative: My Main Golf Tiger Woods
Whenever I meet someone new, there will come a time where they ask me, what sport do I play. I'd say golf. But why do I play this most unusual sport. Well one of the reasons why I play is because of my main golfer Tiger Woods or in other words my hero. The three points I'll talk about today are: who is he, why him and what he has done to be the best.

Tiger Woods is an American Professional golfer who is among the most successful golfers of all time and he has been the highest paid athlete for several years (the first ever sportsman to reach the big billion) Woods has broken numerous golf records, he has been world number one for the most consecutive weeks. He has been awarded player of the year for a record 11 times. He’s won 14 major titles

The parking brake wasn’t up incase anything did happen to make the car start to roll, because usually nothing did happen. Until, I decided i wanted to be a nascar driver and mess with the clutch. I had only seen my dad use it everyday, so i thought i would be like him and mess with it to. But nobody was outside watching me to make sure i didn’t do anything bad.…

In baseball there is an enigma of a pitch called the knuckle ball, which is very difficult for batters to hit because the the ball moves unpredictably in different directions. Often time it feels like life is like trying to hit a home-run off a knuckle ball. When this happens, When life throws us something unexpected we must learn to adapt and respond appropriately.. I learned this when first entering choir as a sophomore with the firm notion that being a bold and strong leader was always the best way to be. Life was about to pitch me a crazy surprise.…

It wasn’t the ideal weather to finish a baseball game, especially not an elimination game. It was a humid, cloudy afternoon in Bourbonnais, IL during the month of July. The winds were strong and throwing dirt and dust everywhere. The infield was hard and dry with a light colored dirt that was blinding when the sun came out. In the outfield, it wasn’t much better, the grass was long and patchy. These conditions made it hard to concentrate and play.…

When I was about twelve years old, I started playing volleyball at the YMCA. I was the worst one on the team, but my dad always encouraged me to do my best anyway. When I was , my dad decided to do a very brave thing: he volunteered to coach my volleyball team. He had absolutely no experience coaching or even playing volleyball, except for the occasional game on the beach, but after staying at practices every week to help me improve, he decided he would coach my team himself. Working for a professional team has been my dream since the age of 12. Growing up I played almost every sport, so I followed most of the ESPN channels. In 2020, I was at a summer retreat before the big tennis tournament. The Junior Female Tennis Tournament of South Dakota to be exact. I was with one of my close friends, Janis. Janis was in one of the other cabins, so I was basically on my own. I had five other people in my cabin. There was Tina, Harmony, Alana, Flora, and Camila. We all were great friends from the start because we all were so diverse. It was sad because we all went to the same school but never talked. Tina had red and yellow coiled hair and sapphire eyes. She was one of the spoiled rich kids whose parents forced her to play tennis. Harmony had blackish-blue hair and honey eyes, and she was the most kind hearted, sincere person you could ever meet in your life.…

As we talked about Rogue wave, Scoot succeeded her escape, but also, when she persevered, she benefited in many other ways too. One way was, as she was working her way to escape, she remembered that she had once seen a toolbox under the companionway steps which saved her a lot of time because time was burning and she was too weak to open the highlight. It says on page 13, line 345-347, “Scoot had seen a toolbox under the companionway steps and went back to try to find it. She guessed there’d be wrenches inside it, unless they’d spilled out.” As we also talked about What It Takes to be Great, Bobby Fischer succeeded by becoming a chess grandmaster with 9 years of intensive work. In that essay, Tiger Woods started golfing at an extremely early age, 18 months and that made him persevere as he was growing up. He benefited from it because it encouraged him to practice intensively which made him practice for 15 years, becoming the youngest-ever winner of the U.S Amateur Championship at the age of 18. It says on page 9, paragraph 18, “Tiger Woods is a perfect example of what the research shows. Because his father introduced him to golf at an extremely early age—18months—and encouraged him to practice intensively.” It’s crazy how Tiger was introduced to golf at the age of 18 months and how he benefited from it.…
