Personal Narrative: My Internship As A Hospice Social Worker
Currently I intern at Haven Health. Haven Health is a facility that provides palliative care, hospice care, caregiver services and physician services. Hospice care is the sector of choice that I chose to complete my internship as a social worker. Being a hospice social worker is very rewarding, yet challenging. I complete life reviews with each client, which provides me with their life history/background and other essential information that I need in order to be able to build rapport with each client. Being a hospice social worker provides opportunities to partake in reminiscing therapy, narrative therapy, cbt, strength base perspectives, social learning theory, crisis theory, and problem solving.
