Personal Narrative: My Interest In The Discovery Program

I am interested in the discovery program because travelling has always been very dear to me as it allows me to be in unfamiliar situations and approach situations differently. It also alows to to expand my general understanding and reasoning where i can more accurately formed opinions on domestic and international events because I have a bigger piece of the story then just what the media portrays. for example when I was in the sixth grade my family travelled to Egypt and at first I was scared of all the guards patrolling the citie because i have never seen them being portraied as friendly, however I quickly learned how much they cared for the safety of the citzens and were always up for a quick chat.
