I headed into Tug’s Daycare and Preschool one bright sunny day with a smile on my face, I was very excited for the day ahead of me. I had brought my set-up fashion show building, which was mainly red and blue colored; you had to hook rods together and colorful tarps draped over them that said “Fashion Show” across them, and a whole bunch of spunky clothes to play with. Once I carried it into the schoolager’s room, schoolager’s is a Tug’s term for anyone above the age of five that goes to the daycare, with my set-up I had kids already ready to use it. All of the kids in the room helped set it up together and we got ready to have a fashion show.…

I attended Head Start as a student. Three years after graduated from Head Start, my mom began working for them. She started out as a cleaning lady and after a few years moved up the chain to cook and then eventually a teacher. So, since I was about 7 years old I was volunteering. I loved being around the children, the teachers and just the setting in general. When I was old enough, I also began working at Head Start as a teacher’s aide. I later went to work for the University of Idaho Children’s Center, where I figured out that I wanted to work with children as a career.…

My family environment has influenced me a lot especially when my siblings were born. I am the oldest out of five, so I'm always look up to. I always had to make a good example and never show that I was scared. When my mom and stepdad had to work, I would take care of them until they came back while getting my schoolwork and practicing my instrument done too. I never really had a chance to be a kid, I always had to be a mother to my siblings. I would always wish for more time in the day for myself, Although watching them grow up from when they were small and started school for the first time made up for that loss time. I live up to a quote, "Be the master of your future, not the slave of your problems." My senior year I had to stop being…

It all started when I was in 1st grade, around the age of 7. Every night I would get home from school and me and my mom would run up to my dad and begging him and begging him for another sister. When I was 16 years old, my grandma opened her very own government approved child care service. I decided that I wanted to help her but it was mainly because the 2 girls we had were really nice and polite. We had a girl who had just started the second grade and her sister, who was a middle school special ed student. I dedicated countless volunteer hours to helping them with their homework, creating learning activities and birthday parties for them . In a blink of an eye, the daycare had 14 kids and we pretty much had them 20 hours a day for 5 days a week.…
