Patron Saint: St. Beatrice De Silva Meneses

A patron saint is a person who guides and protects us over parts of life. There are nearly 10,000 patron saint around the world. People chose patron saints to represent who they are, or commonalities they share with that particular saint. Most people select a patron saint before they are confirmed. For my patron saint I have selected St.Beatrice de Silva Meneses. She is commonly known as the patron saint of happiness, and prisoners. Her feast day is known s September 1st. She was born in Ceuta, Portugal 1424, and raised in the household of princess Isabel. Eventually she went ot spain to belong to the Cistercian convent and Toledo. On 1484, Beatrice discovered an old monastery, and therefore founded the Congregation of Immaculate Conception
