Outpatient Coding Goals
I would like to become familiar with outpatient coding. I want to become familiar with coding to ensure that I am prepared when I am ready to further my HIM career. Coding is essentially important because it helps increase the RCM. I want to become a part of making a positive change with TMC. Hands-on experience is a great way for me to learn I know it will take some time because I have many questions. I am also familiar with the ICD 10 process and I am currently taking refresher courses with AHIMA and working toward my Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management.
My third goal is to obtain my RHIT credential. I feel that I am ready to take on this task with my educational background and I meet the minimum requirements according to

The difference between the official coding guidelines for using V codes in an inpatient and outpatient setting is the V guidelines for outpatient setting indicates code sequencing for physician office and clinic encounters.
