“Role Models” uses fear to target the people. It tries to scare people from showing what will happen if they vote for Trump. In Jack Solomon’s essay “Masters of Desire: The Culture of American Advertising” he talks about how ads show fantasies and use manipulation. For example, Jack Solomon said, “advertisers play on reflect back at us out fantasies about everything from fighter pilots to robots, they also play on darker imaginings. If dream and desire can be exploited in the quest for sales, so can nightmare and fear” (). This ad played a dark image like Jack said ads do to make people fear the future. This ad says, that the future of our children will be ruined if we vote for Trump. It also shows kids watching Trump talking on television with fear which is warning everyone about the future.
