The school need to think of the students needs. Not all students have the capability to plays sports. Each student is different and has different responsibility out sideof school. Some students may or may not be able to play sports and those students should be able to make that decisions on their own.

America has spent over millions of dollars on the aftermath of obesity, diabetes, and many other crude factors in today's society.Theses organized sports are great prevention for second hand caused diseases and also a great way for kids to stay in shape that don't have time to, or just kids who are to lazy. Theses sports may also impact children to encourage them to stay healthy, and to live a healthy lifestyle, and also have impact on others to do so as well.

The decisions to play or contribute in required organized athletics is unethical to the students at school. Every student have different situations that need to be handled after school, so they won't have time for sports. What is important is that the students needs and priorities, which can be focused on or bassed opened required sports. Should students who do poorly academically be allowed to participate in athletic programs? It’s an age old question that can change a young persons life. Normally all students are allowed the privilege of participating in athletic programs. This privilege stays available provided they are able to keep their grades to certain grade point average. There are numerous benefits to playing sports while attending grade school. The benefits can be displayed in two methods. The ways the benefits are displayed include tangible as well as intangible. The tangible, of course, are that the student will be physically fit and able to perform physical tasks daily with ease. The physical appearance is also good because it helps the students cope with the pressures of their peers. How often do you see an athlete being bullied? The greater gain is in the intangible realm. The intangible has physical as well as mental advantages.…

According to “The Value of Sports,” athletes are able to set better long time goals and strive for them, vs non-athletes, (2). Athletes who play sports are more focused in school, they are more motivated, and they learn skills that may improve their life in the future. There is a rule called No Pass No Play, which means if you don’t pass a class in school, you can’t play a sport (No Pass, no play law affects many students throughout Texas) (1). This rule is effective in states like Texas. Americans should be for students without passing grades being able to play sports, because students in clubs are not affected, and the youth of America needs the teachings and values that sports are able to bring. Athletes in school tend to do better in school…

Why should the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) keep funding for sports program? Well what would schools be without the normal sports teams and jocks running around? In my opinion it would just be abnormal, competitive sports are a tradition in school that all children should have the choice to experience. I believe OUSD should continue funding for sports programs. Not only because they are a tradition; but because the also improves health, teaches teamwork, and improves academic performances.…

Student-athletes deserve more benefits because at most 10% of each sports’ athletes will go pro and make a living off of it. Benefits don’t have to be just receiving money, they can be anything to help the person out. Whether it be less homework, extra time for homework, or anything really. Athletes will make the most of their benefits and use them as much as they possibly can. They shouldn’t be punished for playing a sport in college, they should in a way be “rewarded” especially if they are a winning team. These young adults are putting their bodies on the line every minute of their game to make a name for their team and their school, this is the least that schools could do to help them…

Being a student athlete should be a privilege, a reward; it should always come second, after the students education. It seems that student athletes get special treatments, getting away with having low grades, having an extended time to do assignments, or even being excused from them. There needs to be a more strict policy in order to be on a high school sports team and to play in games. After all, high schools do not require students to participate in team or individual sports.…

I have done research and there hasn’t been one article I found on why sports shouldn’t be in schools. Having athletic programs and activities in schools are very helpful for students health, it develops team work, helps develop discipline and also perfection. School administrators, and parents, generally support high school activity programs because of the positive effect these activities appear to have on students of both genders. (Braddock P.1)…

I believe sports are very important for schools. Sports keep students active. It gives them something to do rather than to sit on the couch. Aside from keeping students active, it gives them an incentive to behave in class and get good grades.
