Executive summary: The main purpose of writing this report is to explain what are main elements of a marketing plan. To deeply understand what are main elements of a marketing plan, defining marketing plan and being aware of the importance of marketing plan first is necessary. Marketing plan basically consists of description of the target market, competitors, and product or service, marketing strategy, analysis, and marketing budget.

Introduction: A marketing plan is written for describing the position of a business in current market as a business plan. It will guide a business and help solve problems in different situations. The importance of a marketing plan is that it clarifies the main marketing elements of a business and helps find out a correct direction, or a way for the business and its employees.
Main Content: The first main element of marketing plan is analyzing the current market, which means market research. In any business, the first step is to understand the target market. It is divided into four parts, describe the market, detail the product, know the competitors, and distribution. Describing the market is to define the market and summarize the factories exist in marketing environment which might influence the customers. Detailing the product is to detail the products’ price, quantity of sale and profit. Knowing the competitors is to assess the competitors’ strategies and positions for their products. After that, assess recent tendency of product selling. The second main element of marketing plan is analyzing the risks and the opportunities. Products might face a crisis or a potential risk, but also could get a good chance. A good marketing plan will help manager avoid risks and catch the opportunities that might cause a strategic impact in advance, which means
