Oprah Winfrey's Contribution To The World

“The way to achieve your own success is to be willing to help someone else get it first”. These wise words were spoken by Oprah Winfrey. This is how she thinks and this is how she wants the whole world to think. Oprah has been known as the most influential women the world has ever seen. Oprah has made her global impact by educating people with worldly problems, using her position to help others, and creating various charities. One of her greatest accomplishments and one of her most known charities is the Oprah Angel Network.
Oprah opened up one of her first charities in 1998. This charity was named the Oprah Angel Network. Her motive for opening this charity she said was, “You get from the world what you give to the world.” This foundation focuses on helping poverty, disease and child neglect. Fox news says that in 2005 the Oprah Angel Network donated more than four million dollars to forty different organizations across the world
She uses all of her money to help other before she helps herself. She is the reason for many, many charities creation. Women Conference says “Oprah used her position to become the most influential and successful women in media” (WomCon). She used her power in South Africa to link up with Nelson Mandela to make a school. According to The My Hero Project, “Oprah has donated over fifty million dollars to local charities” (Kirkwood). Oprah has been a very influential person in this world. Oprah has been known as the most influential person in media history. Oprah came from nothing and look at how much she was impacted the world. It doesn’t matter where you come from and Oprah is proof of that. She has made her global impact by educating others on worldly problems, using her position to help others, and charity.
