One Direction

Five young boys, one dream. As they stand on the bare stage of the auditorium, in front if the tough critics and judges, the bright lights of the stage and cameras flashing in their eyes were the least of their worries. All were desperate, nervous wrecks, striving to mask their worried expressions. But little did they know, behind the scenes there were huge plans in store to create a bright future for them. Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan are the five members of the one, but not only, boy band, One Direction. They have come a long way through many experiences, continuing to inspire many fans all over the country.

In 2010, five boys beat hundreds of thousands of others to get the coveted spots in the seventh series of "The X Factor”. They did not know each other before the audition of the British talent show, but with the suggestion of Nicole Scherzinger, an X Factor judge, they were grouped together and later achieved fame. Liam, one of the members, states "So it was strange when we were put together and my first thought was, ‘How are we going to make this work when we don't know each other?’ It was such a leap of faith". After their winning song, “Forever Young" of the "X Factor" final, was leaked online, One Direction was the quickest to break through the charts in United Kingdom and United States. The group signed a recording deal with their mentor, Simon Cowell’s record label Syco Records, and continued on their journey, known for “sparking a resurgence” in the boy band concept, and forming part of a new "British Invasion" in the United States. There was no question that the group would never disband or give up their dreams.

Every member has their early life history. Their back story. Niall James Horan, 16, was born on September 13, 1993 in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Republic of Ireland. He is the only Irish member of in the band, and has been playing guitar since childhood. He has been

Hailed by many as purely a southern rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd was not only a success outside the Deep South but gained widespread popularity throughout the country in the 1970’s. When you initially hear a song it is often difficult to understand the meaning of the song, and even in some cases the lyrics. This is where music videos can be very helpful. It was a long time after the television had gained popularity that MTV came along, and MTV in turn was responsible for creating music videos. As television was a visual medium, it would thus require something to view. This resulted in the music video, which led many different artists to fame.
