The provided patient is currently taking an appropriate dose of antihistamine to treat her seasonal allergies and has no further complaints of this condition at the present time. While seen by the urgent care provider she was also placed on a proton pump inhibitor. She was given the appropriate starter dosage; however, this medication is not usually considered first line. I know that this provider was trying to rule out what may be causing her pain and in this instance, it sounds like she did find some relief from acid reflex.
