Oj Simpson Trial
The reality of OJ Simpson’s Trial Present to Mr. Hyatt
Presented by Aiyana Barnes

O.J. Simpson was convicted of murdering his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. There are three crucial factors with the evidence against him. First, the L.A.P.D. has been proven corrupt and racially biased. Second, the evidence, including blood samples, and the glove from the scene of the crime. Third, the juries from during the trial were all mainly African American, so they began to have a race issue. Everyone has their own implication of how the verdict should continue if the evidence fits, he is guilty if the evidence does not fit he will be found not guilty!
Now not everybody knows who OJ, Orenthal James Simpson, is he is a retired 2 time All American running

goes clubbing with friends and runs into Nicole and two woman friends. “He finds himself thinking about Nicole "and missing her a little." Why not stop by her house to see if she's awake?”(4) He had done that after returned from his daughter's dance recital. Later that night Nicole Brown Simpson lay face down on the ground-possibly unconscious-when a right-handed assailant delivered the final fatal knife wound, lifting up her head by the hair to expose her neck, according to the medical examiner's testimony Wednesday. The crime was discovered by a pedestrian who glanced inside the gated garden in front of the condominium and saw Nicole Simpson's body on the walkway steps, a few feet inside the gate. Police were called, and the body of Goldman was found nearby. (5)Before the trial began lawyers convinced the LAPD to allow Simpson to turn himself in at 11 a.m. on June 17, 1994, even though the murder charge meant no bail would be set and a possible death penalty verdict if …show more content…
As expected, the presiding judge ordered that Simpson be held without bail. The following day, a grand jury was called to determine whether to indict him for the murders. Two days later, on June 23, the grand jury was dismissed as a result of excessive media coverage, which could have influenced its neutrality. Rather than a grand jury hearing, a probable cause hearing was held to determine whether or not to bring Simpson to trial, which was a minor victory for Simpson's lawyers who would now be able to get to evidence as it was being presented by the prosecution to a grand jury hearing. For the defense case Simpson hired a team of high-profile lawyers, including F. Lee Bailey, Robert Kardashian, Robert Shapiro, Alan Dershowitz, Johnnie Cochran, Gerald Uelmen Carl E. Douglas and Shawn

I think O.J.Simpson is guilty. I think he was lucky and everyone knew him for football but people that are known should not be treated any differently or in anyway that can benefit them. I think he was lucky to have the defense team that he had who tried to prove he was innocent when everyone knew what hew did I think that everyone knew it was him because during the videos he acted emotionless.…

In his article, “On Death Row, but Is He Innocent,” Kristof argues that the Justice system is broken and Kevin Cooper was framed because of his race. He supports his opinion with quotes from the judge, William A. Fletcher, along with Fletcher’s dissent of points to Copper’s innocence and quotes from Cooper’s lawyers asking for another DNA testing. Kristof and I share similar opinions. From my point of view, the justice system has always been racially biased. Not all Police Officers are biased but the majority of black people are convicted of felonies they did not commit. Many blacks are even killed for being near the crime scene. For Example, in June a black man named Dylan Noble was killed. Officers were told that someone was walking down…

Although more than most of the evidence could have put Mr. Simpson in prison for the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman if it had been found to be creditable, the fact that the investigation and collection were so splotchy and unorganized, with evidence being misplaced or lost and entered months later, notes that didn’t match up, and blood evidence that wasn’t properly packaged and secured by procedure. Just because Common sense tells us by looking at the abundance of evidence brought forward otherwise, for…

There is a thing known as a jury trial process that is supposed to happen in every jury trial case. Although, not followed perfectly in the jury trial of Carl Lee it is followed pretty well for a movie. The jury trial process is as follows; a crime is commited, an investigation is conducted, a warrant is issued, then the arrest is made, once arrested the criminal is booked, then they have their bail hearing. Following the bail hearing the preliminary arraignment happens these are when the informal charges are presented, after that comes the preliminary hearing this is where the court reviews the evidence to make sure there is enough evidence for a case to occur. If there is enough evidence they move on to the formal indictment where the…

Sorry, dead wrong. The purpose of a grand jury is only to see if there was probable cause that a crime may have been committed. What evidence is presented is selected by the Prosecutor. There is no defense attorney, no defense presentation. It's not about guilt or innocence, only to see if there's the bare minimum of evidence that there may have been a crime. It's EXACTLY the same barrier as a police officer has in order to stop you, probable cause.…

Another famous instance of controversy over photo manipulation, this time concerning race, arose in the summer of 1994. After O.J. Simpson was arrested for allegedly murdering his wife and her friend, multiple publications carried his mugshot. Notably, Time published an edition featuring an altered mugshot credited to Matt Mahurin, removing the photograph's color saturation (perhaps inadvertently making Simpson's skin darker),[10] burning the corners, and reducing the size of the prisoner ID number. This appeared on newsstands right next to an unaltered picture by Newsweek.…

And so they did: They walked down to Simpson’s house, and started accusing him for lying about having sex. What started out being just swearing, soon turned into harsh violence. The three boys, who didn’t have in mind to let Simpson escape unharmed, ordered him back to the backyard of our main character. By kangaroo court they judged him guilty, under charge of the main character, whose name still remained unknown. They decided, even though Simpson was already suffering both physically and psychologically, that he should be hung until death occurred.…
