Oh The Places You Ll Go Poem

For the final paper, the reading selected will be, “Oh! The places you’ll go!” by Dr. Seuss. This reading was selected for many reasons. One of the many, is that Dr. Seuss is a huge part of many college students childhood. Personally, Dr. Seuss was one of my favorite’s! This poem speaks out to me personally in a way because for college students, this is our first adventure on our own. Here, we are thrown into the world expected to grasp life and be able to maintain and handle it. College is our final destination of education till we, the students, are shipped off into this world to show our talents through our jobs. Oh! College is the student’s bumpy path. Many may get side-tracked and join the wrong crowd, and party and lose interest in their education. However, those of us who stay along the right path will achieve high marks. We will end up somewhere where we are happy and showing the world just how much knowledge we know! The poem is an inspiring message saying, even though things may get rough, meaning for college, classes will get harder and the pressure will intensify, but in the end it will be worth it. In the end, we will all see a beautiful place where all our hard work has lead us to go. I like this poem because it is inspiring. Stay on the right path, and achieve excellence through all of your work, and one day you will be in a place where you are helping others and brightening the days of many who need it. My major is to become a Physician's Assistant. My college experience is going to be tough, with tough courses, but in the end it will all be worth it and I will be helping people’s lives one day.
