This passage is mainly about mixture of few different emotions such as confidence and pride against fragility of happiness. According to the passage, the chorus narrates about happiness that defines by human. The emotion happiness narrated by the chorus exemplifies the character Oedipus, “Show me the man whose happiness was anything more than hopes followed by disillusion” which is such a fragile and unsterilized emotion of human. Oedipus used to be such a proud man in the world “All Thebes was proud of the majesty of his name” before he figures out the truth of his destiny and oracles has made in the past. This represents the idea of pride versus fragile happiness that human hopes in general. The passage narrates the fact that most of human’s desires of achievements are precariously
