Nursing Home Care Case Study
Growing old is something people think about frequently. In modern society people have started to plan for their future. This planning ahead has created multiple diverse businesses and communities. There are numerous different facilities worldwide solely constructed for providing care to the elderly. The percentage of older Americans residing in assisted living facilities has declined in recent years. However rapid aging of the population, especially the growth of the population 85 years and older, means that demand for nursing home care is steadily increasing. There are multiple factors that are needed for a successful assisted living facility. Nevertheless, one of the most underappreciated factors in running an effective facility is nursing. People with loved ones residing in these facilities are mostly unaware about the hardships the nursing, and staff experience everyday. Stephanie Moss is one of these underappreciated individuals. Stephanie is a 35 year old, hardworking single mother, committed to caring for our aging population living in nursing facilities. She is passionate about her career, and is determined to make a difference. She is extremely bold and blunt, and demands excellence from those …show more content…
Stephanie's daily responsibilities include; reviewing how assisted living care can best be financed, managing how employees should be organized, measuring the quality of care, and how to effectively provide optimal levels of care within the constraints of limited resources. Stephanie managers the nursing department. This includes a wide variety of staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing aides or assistants. Some challenges that come with this position are making sure everyone, from the nurses, to the people receiving the care, are satisfied with the experience the receive at the Rose of Sharon.
