Arterial Blood Gas Values:
1. Respiratory acidosis
2. Metabolic alkalosis
3. Normal
4. Respiratory alkalosis
Case Study:
1. When listening to the patient I would expect to hear crackles and wheezing.
2. Normal oxygen saturation is 95% to 100%.
3.Since the patient does have a history of diabetes and asthma, he has a higher risk of contracting viruses due to the fact that diabetes lowers your immune response, and asthma causes your airway to become more sensitive. With the patient having both these conditions it hard for his body to fight of infections such as a simple cold. He stated that he had cold symptoms for a while but thought they had gone away, even though he thought that he was getting better and the cold was running
