Nehemyah's Routine At Home
Over the last several months, Nehemyah and his grandmother have made steady progress. Since Nikita has been in better health, she has been consistent with Nehemyah’s toileting schedule, using PECS and maintaining a routine at home. Nikita is able to keep up with Nehemyah’s energetic behaviors to the best of her ability and recognizes consistency is needed in order to keep his behaviors.

Nikita and Nehemyah’s Behavioral Team have noticed that he uses more verbalization throughout session and throughout the day. However, his grandmother states than if he is not able to verbally express what he wants, and redirects him to use his PECS book, at times he will become upset and aggressive towards her (biting). The team have been keeping his PECS icons out and available as needed to alleviate his frustrations when he can not verbally express what he wants.

If he is left unattended and not changed, he digs in his pull up or underwear and smears feces on the wall, floor and himself. Nikita would like to focus potty training and having him having bowel movements in the toilet.

Nikita rescheduled her knee surgery again and it will be within the next few months. She is concerned about Nehemyah regressing during this time. It is requested that in home behavior support continues for another 6 in order for Nehemyah’s Behavioral team to plan on preparing him with change that will come in his grandmother’s health and to maintain progress in in
