Nba Sports Vs Professional Sports Essay
Baseball and basketball may seem extremely different, but they actually have some similarities that is not thought about when somebody watches these professional sports. The game itself when watched seems like polar opposites between the two sports, but they actually have a lot in common. When it comes down to it, both of these iconic sports are both different and alike. Almost every American has watched the sports of MLB (Major League Baseball) and/or NBA (National Basketball Association) at least once in their lives. Both of these sports are played in a competitive and professional manner. They are both televised and broadcasted through TV and radio. When somebody goes to a game, they are always cheering for one team over the other. …show more content…

In NBA, the stadium is much smaller due to only having ten players on the court at a time, five per team. In contrast, MLB is normally a large outdoor stadium with nine outfielders in a large green and dirt field. The stadiums are much larger and tend to end up being a lot louder. When somebody is watching a NBA game, they are always at the edge of their seat because not only is their a set amount of time per quarter, but it is also a very fast paced game. At a MLB game, fans have time to get up and explore the stadium to get refreshments while most likely missing nothing. The big difference between watching professional baseball and basketball is that after each half inning in baseball there is about a five minute break, along with a seventh-inning stretch. NBA on the other hand has only small time-outs and a large halftime break. Another difference is when a fan is watching MLB, they would be wise to put on a cap and lather on the sunscreen to protect them from the sun, while the only thing NBA fans have to worry about is finding their seats and the restroom to avoid missing any action. Even though there are many differences between these two legendary sports, they still bring the same amount of

Pitchers in baseball throw the baseball over hand while softball players throw the softball underhand. Since softball players throw softballs underhand there is a difference in the pitching rules of baseball and softball.
